Help us find the cure for Dupuytren disease

Welcome to my Fundraising page!

Just recently, I was diagnosed with Dupuytren disease. It's a flexion contracture of the hand due to a palmar fibromatosis, in which the fingers bend towards the palm and cannot be fully extended (straightened). It is an inherited proliferative connective tissue disorder that involves the hand's palmar fascia. Dupuytren's contracture is treated with procedures to help straighten the fingers, but this does not cure the underlying disease. Contractures often return or involve other fingers.Severe Dupuytren disease may also be associated with frozen shoulder

Another related disease is Ledderhose- a connective tissue disease. Rather than affect the hand, this form of the disease affects the foot. It's a rare disease, so doctors don't really know much about it and there is little, if any, focus on treatment or a cure.

We're trying to change that! Mine has not progressed very far, but I am in a group with people from around the world that have been diagnosed with it and some of them very severely and struggle on a daily basis. Please help me help them :)

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for helping to find the cure.

Thank you in advance for your kindness.
